Writing Slope

Maine writing slope desk with early baize.

There is a date of 1806 and a name written inside.

This antique slope is of cherry and pine and very nicely blind dovetailed and mortised. 

It has an early escutcheon and the area for the ink bottles and quill pens has beaded molding. 

We found this desk in Maine.
