Pearlware Pitcher

No. A14589

Pearlware pitcher that would was custom made with a name and date.

It is labeled “Sarah Ann Law born May 25th 1842”.

These were custom ordered in the mid 19th century to commemorate the birth of the child.

Usually christening pieces are in worn and quite used condition.

This pitcher is in nearly perfect condition with a very small blemish in the bottom that does not show inside and a very small hair line in an upper edge. 

This is larger than is usually found and it has the name and the date of the child’s birth.

In the photos, the bottom black band reflects up on the body of the pitcher and the reflection is NOT a crack.
