Pair of Chinese carved and stained hardwood arm chairs.

These chairs have shaped and carved splats with each having a still life vase with flowers.

The arms have wedged construction as does the front mortised framework and the foot rest.

The Chinese began making this type of chair in 14th Century.

Resonable wear.

Note the customs seal, which both chairs retain. 

These are 19th century chairs.
